The "Piano House"

A West Nashville historic mansion

photo documentary

I used to live out on Old Charlotte, on my way home from work i would pass the Piano House every day. A favorite part of my scenic drive home. over the years i would snap a quick phot from time to time. but it was when my friend Colin gave me my first "real" digital camera with full control, a Canon Powershot G6 if i remember correctly. He was in town visiting from L.A. and asked me to take him around, a photog journey around Nashville.

during this same time I had been thinking about needing to capture some images of this house as it was obviously falling into disrepair and not long for this world. so first on the list to show colin, lets walk up and check it out. we were late in the game, having much of the interior, entire floors even, already been salvaged. but what remained still told a story, much of it mystery maybe, of what had been.

Located up on a hill on Hwy 70 in West Nashville, exit 201 on I-40, directly across the street from the VFW. a giant appartment complex now. this in an old g maps image showing much of the property from an overhead perspective. I know almost nothing about the house and would love any information or other pictures you may have.
